SAN DIEGO -- Former Mission Hills High School standout and current star wide receiver with the New Orleans Saints Chris Olave was arrested Monday on suspicion of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, the National Football League (NFL) reported.Olave, a San Ysidro native, allegedly drove 70 mph in a 35 mph zone on the 1700 block of Joe Yenni Blvd. in Kenner, Louisiana, the Kenner Police Department told the NFL. However, renting during this time is also a pricey alternative in some U.S. cities. Forbes Advisor recently conducted a report analyzing the 96 big U.S. cities across 23 metrics, including rental prices, sizes, affordability, amenities and neighborhood features. San Diego ranked as the No. 14 worst city for renters in 2023.The average rent price for a one-bedroom apartment in San Diego is $2,012.00, per Forbes Advisor. DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) — The bodies of at least 17 people were recovered from a train crash outside the Bangladesh capital that may have occurred after one of the trains disregarded a red signal, officials said Tuesday.The rescue operation was halted early in the morning a day after rescuers and residents together extracted passengers from the wreckage, said fire official Mosharraf Hossain at Bhairab, in the central district of Kishoreganj. Officials with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Monday announced an investigation into labor practices at hotels across L.A. County after allegations that some hotels are hiring unhoused refugees living in a shelter on Skid Row to replace striking union workers, particularly in the housekeeping departments. Unite Here Local 11, the union representing thousands of workers in the largest hotel strike in U.S., brought the issue of working conditions for migrants hired at L.A. hotels to the attention of District Attorney George Gascón, the Los Angeles Times reported. Hotel front desk workers, cooks, housekeepers and others began their strike in July, demanding better working conditions, higher wages, health insurance and pensions.
